Frequently Asked Questions
What should I wear to class?
The most important thing is that you are comfortable! Wear breathable clothes that move. Make sure your pants don't puddle on the floor for safety reasons, and you're good to go! We aren't fussy here about clothes. No one is going to pay any attention to what you are wearing, unless you have a funny nerd shirt on, we dig that!
Do you have mats to borrow?
We do have mats to borrow! We highly recommend that you purchase your own mat, for a multitude of reasons, but we've got you covered while you make that decision.
Help! I've never done yoga before! What class should I take?
Any of our yoga classes are a good start! All of our instructors are knowledgeable and well trained to make sure you get the best from your experience. We know that no all bodied move the same and we are happy to help you find a practice that feels good in your body right where it is today.
Should I eat before class?
It's best to eat something light about two hours before your practice so that you have energy but are not full. Yoga and other fitness with a full stomach can be uncomfortable, so make sure that you aren't stuffed!
Do I have to register online, or can I just pop in to class?
We prefer that our students register online. Our space is small and fills quickly, we want to be sure that we are holding your space for you! If there is room in a class, we always welcome walk ins, but we are not fond of turning people away, registration keeps that from happening!
What do I need to bring?
Bring a water bottle and a comfy sweater or hoodie, you may want it while we warm up and cool down.
I'm not very flexible and I'm worried about joining a group class, do you have any suggestions?
We've totally got you! Our classes are geared toward meeting each and every person where they are when they walk in the door. If you have specific concerns, or things that you are working with in your body we invite you to arrive a little early and check in with your instructor. They are here to help you have the best experience possible.
